Can people stay at your hotel?
You'd be surprised at how often we get asked this. Unfortunately, we're just for your pup.
Can I take a tour?
Yes! Visit us any time from 10am to 3pm, seven days a week. During peak hours and holidays, please drop us a line to check our availability.
How do I make a reservation?
Check availability here or call (503) 208-2366.
Is your facility secure?
Yes, we have staff here 24/7/365. Our hotel also features security, sprinklers and smoke detection systems that alert police and fire departments in the event of an emergency.
What time is checkin and checkout?
Pups can be checked in anytime during business hours. Checkout time is noon, seven days a week. We offer a late checkout option for $20 after noon.
Do I need daycare reservations?
While we do accept daycare drop-ins, we strongly encourage you to call ahead. If your dog will be joining us regularly for daycare, we recommend making a standing reservation on your typical play dates.
Daycare cancellation policy
We require 24 hours for daycare cancellations. No shows will be charged the full fee for the reservation. If you miss two appointments without notice, your future daycare reservations may be cancelled. A daycare package is required for all standing reservations.
What are your boarding/daycare requirements?
- Completed forms (click here) prior to your pups first visit.
- Provide or fax us at 503-208-2296 your veterinarian proof of vaccination for Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. Bordetella vaccination should be administered every 6 months and given a 7 day waiting period. Please note, most vets only administer this vaccine by request. For all other vaccinations, a 24-hour waiting period is required after the first administration.
- Guests must be at least 4 months of age.
- Effective form of flea control.
- Daycare guests must be spayed or neutered, unless under 7 months of age.
- Guests who attend daycare and boarding pups that participate in playgroups will be required to attend a playgroup consultation.
Why the long waiting period for Bordetella?
Our 7-day policy ensures that guests with little or no immunity have not been exposed accidentally and infected with an illness while visiting their veterinarian to get vaccinated.
Do I bring my own dog food?
Yes. Sniff doesn't provide any meals, just treats. By request, we can prepare specialized meals, including cooking or thawing if required. In special cases, a $5 daily fee may apply. If you forget your dog's food, you can purchase food from our retail store.
Will you give my dog their meds?
Yes. We can administer any non-injectable medication. Just make sure medication is clearly labeled and dosage instructions are included.
Can I bring personal items for my dog's stay?
We provide the comforts of home including premium dog bedding and bowls. That said, you're welcome to bring up to two small items, like your pup's favorite blanket or toy. Please leave crates and beds at home.
What's included in the daily rate for my dog?
We have several private room types that include cozy bedding and bowls for room service (prepared meals.) All rooms include playgroups or private services for fun times and social interaction.
What's the difference between a private services pup or a playgroup pup?
Private services are reserved for pups who are a little less social, senior guests, or those who require one-on-one attention with our staff. Playgroups are group play sessions with other boarding pups that have similar temperament and compatibility. Your pup is assigned a service routine based on our playgroup consultation.
What if my dog doesn't play well with others?
They are welcome to stay in our Sniff Suites (Jr, View, Deluxe or Penthouse) for added privacy, ventilation and for extra peace and quiet. They will receive private services and recieve special one-on-one care from our Sniff staff with three outings throughout the day to stretch their legs.
Do you accept intact males and/or female pups in heat?
Yes. For the safety of our other guests, unaltered dogs are required to stay in Sniff Suites (Jr, View, Deluxe or Penthouse) for added privacy, ventilation and to keep other guests comfortable. For females, an additional $35 per day fee applies for extra cleanup.
