WHAT TIME ARE CHECK-IN AND CHECKOUT FOR HOTEL STAYS?
Dogs can be checked in anytime during business hours. Checkout time is noon,
seven days a week.
$20 charge will be assessed if guests are not picked up by noon.

or pick up copies at the Sniff Dog Hotel front desk. We'll also need a credit
card to guarantee your reservation.
DO I NEED TO MAKE A DAYCARE RESERVATION?
While we do accept daycare drop-ins, we strongly encourage you to call ahead, even if it's right before you hop in the car. If your dog will be joining us regularly for daycare, we recommend making a standing reservation on your typical play dates. This way, your pooch will always have a spot at Sniff.
WHAT ARE YOUR STAY REQUIREMENTS?
We require a veterinarian certificate indicating proof of vaccination for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. We recommend the Bordetella vaccination be administered every 6 months, within the year is required. If the Bordetella vaccine has never been given, or if it has expired, a 7 day waiting period is required after the administration.
For all other vaccinations, a 24 hour waiting period is required after the first administration of a vaccination or if it has expired. Have your vet fax us a copy at 503-208-2296.
All guests must be treated with an effective form of flea control.
All guests must be 4 months or older. To join daycare, all guests must be spayed or neutered, unless under 7 months of age. Once they are over 7 months of age they must be spayed or neutered in order to socialize with the other guests in daycare.
Guests will require a brief temperament evaluation — think of it as a simple “meet and greet.” This ensures the safety of all our guests. Temperament evaluations must be scheduled in advance, just give us a call to let us know you're coming in. We want to insure that we have adequate time to get to know your pooch.
WHY SO MUCH TIME?
Our 7 day policy ensures that guests with little or no immunity have not been exposed accidentally and infected with an illness while visiting their veterinarian to get vaccinated. While seemingly strict, this approach to disease management has helped reduce the occurrence of kennel cough at Sniff Dog Hotel.
HOW IS DAY STAY DIFFERENT FROM DAYCARE?
Day Stay is an alternative to daycare for pooches who enjoy private socialization instead of hanging out with the larger dog pack. Guests will enjoy their own private room for the day that includes, one 20 minute walk or one 20 minute private play session with a Sniff staff member. Includes standard hotel amenities. Rates vary based on the room you choose. Day Stay is considered any visit within 12 hours of the same day and is available 7 days a week.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH MY DOG?
Feel free to bring a leash, collar, treats and food for your dog's
entire stay. As many dogs are sensitive to sudden dietary changes,
we find that it's best for owners to provide dogs' regular
food. By request, we can prepare specialized meals, including cooking or thawing
if required.
In special cases, a $5 daily fee may apply. If you forget your dog's
food, you can purchase food from our retail store.
WILL YOU GIVE MY DOG THEIR MEDS?
No problem. We can administer any non-injectable medication. Just make sure
medication is clearly labeled and dosage instructions are included.
CAN I BRING MY DOG'S BED AND BOWLS?
As a full-service dog hotel, we provide the comforts of home including premium
dog bedding and bowls.
We prefer that you don't bring personal items, as we cannot guarantee their
condition upon checkout.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DAILY RATE FOR MY DOG?
Each room is private and includes comfortable bedding and bowls. Guests in our
Standard Rooms enjoy a half-day of daycare (or they may enjoy a full day for an
additional $8 per day). Guests staying in our suites will enjoy a complimentary
full day of daycare or two of the following: a half day of daycare, a 20 minute
walk, or 20 minutes of private play. Our staff will prepare your dog's food as
he/she likes it – hot or cold. Best of all, there is no shortage of love
and cuddles.
IS YOUR FACILITY SECURE?
Yes, we have Sniff staff here 24/7. Our hotel also features security and smoke
detection systems that alert local police and fire departments in the event of an
emergency.
WHAT IF MY DOG DOESN'T PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS?
If your dog is not social, or requires one-on-one attention, for the safety of
our guests, he or she is required to stay in a private suite and participate in
private play sessions and/or walks; additional fees will apply. Please note that
Sniff has sole discretion on whether dogs may take part in social
activities.
WILL YOU ACCEPT MY FEMALE DOG WHILE SHE IS IN HEAT?
Absolutely. Because a female in heat can stress our male guests staying at the
hotel and extra cleanup is involved, an additional $35 per day fee applies. We
also require that dogs in heat stay in Sniff Suites for added privacy,
ventilation and to keep other guests comfortable. She will enjoy two one-on-one
walks with a Sniff staff member each day.
DO YOU ACCEPT INTACT MALES?
Yes. For the safety of our other guests, unaltered dogs are required to stay in a
private suite and can enjoy two private play sessions or two one-on-one walks per
day with a Sniff staff member.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION?
For non-holidays, please notify us of your cancellation 24 hours in
advance.
For holiday reservations, please notify us one week in advance.
A $50 deposit is required for all holiday reservations.
OTHER THAN DAYCARE AND BOARDING, WHAT OTHER SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
Guests can also enjoy our full-service salon & spa, massage therapy,
self-service dog wash,
retail boutique and training sessions (group, private and in-board). We also have
a cafe for humans.
DO YOU OFFER GROOMING AND MASSAGE FOR DOGS THAT ARE NOT CURRENTLY STAYING IN
YOUR HOTEL?
Yes. We offer grooming services to fit your dog's needs as well as
